All of our team members have an earned Masters or PhD in a science, technology, engineering, art, or mathematics field. Your consultant will have research, teaching, and grant-writing experience as well as disciplinary expertise suited to your project.
Each team member also has extensive knowledge of educational and social theories as well as significant experience in qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods education research. We will match you with a consultant well-versed in theory and methods that integrate smoothly with your project and personnel.
Our group is particularly concerned with issues of equity and inclusion in STEM. We bring expertise in asset-based framing, community cultural wealth, social capital, and critical theory should those be appropriate for your project goals.
Although the majority of our projects are focused at the post-secondary level, we can also support STEAM-focused PK-12 and informal education projects.

For STEM research grant proposals, we can draft a theoretically and methodologically sound education and outreach component that fits smoothly with the research goals of your grant proposal. Once your project is funded, we can assist you with data collection, analysis, and reports contextualizing results from the education and outreach components of your project.
We can also help ensure that your work is framed and communicated using best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion. For any equity concerns we identify, we can recommend research-based improvements.
For STEM education research projects, we provide informed independent evaluation starting at the proposal stage.
The first step in our work together is for you to set up a free initial consultation to determine how we can best support your work. Once we know the scope of the project we will be able to provide a written quote for our services.

Our knowledge of federal policy documents, STEM workforce and education data, funding agency priorities, and relevant theoretical frameworks enable us to consider projects throughout the United States.
In some cases, we may determine that local factors outside our expertise are of such importance that we are not a good match for your project. In those cases, we will inform you right away, usually during the initial consultation.
Our base in the Southeastern United States provides particular expertise in the historical, social, political, and economic context of education in this region.
We are not able to accept projects outside the United States at this time.
